Dangers Associated with a Boring Oral Hygiene RoutineIt is so hard to stay in the moment these days. We get it. There are so many exciting things going on in the world, it makes it difficult to stay focused, especially if you take your phone or tablet in the bathroom with you- not that we would know, you understand.

If it feels like brushing your teeth and flossing are just plain boring, then they could become dangerous for the health of your teeth and gums. Not sure how that's possible? Want to liven up your dental routine? We have some ideas.

Put Some Fun Back Into Your Oral Healthcare Routine

If you are one of those people who brush and floss twice a day, every day, you may find that your routine is getting flat. And boredom leads to your teeth not getting cleaned and flossed properly. So liven up your mornings and evenings. Play some music in the morning that get you up and moving around, and excited about your day. Motown usually works for us, but you may like a little classic 80s or 90s music to get your day started.

In the evening, most people are looking to relax and wind down from a tough day. Some nice nature sounds, such as ocean sounds, or rain sounds, would help. Classical music is nice too.

Varying Your Routine Helps Your Mouth Most

The important thing to remember is that you need to vary your routine. If you put a little variation in your routine, you focus on making sure you are cleaning all of your teeth and gums. You ensure that each tooth is flossed properly as well.

When teeth are brushed and flossed, you are making sure than harmful bacteria are not staying on your teeth and gums long enough to cause damage- and who doesn't want that?

If you have questions about livening up your routine, why not give us a call? We may have suggestions you never even thought of!
