 When you wake up, do you ever experience tooth pain? It is not an uncommon problem, but it also is something that you should not ignore. There are several different reasons why you might have teeth pain in the morning. Here are some of them. BruxismBruxism is more commonly known as teeth grinding. Some people grind their teeth during the day, but for other people it is a nighttime issue. You might grind your teeth and not even know that you do it! Nighttime bruxism can cause pain when you wake up. It can also damage your teeth. There are several different treatments for bruxism. The best treatment for your neighbor may not be the best treatment for you, so you need to make an appointment.Infection If you have an infection in one or more teeth or in your gums, you could wake up with mouth pain. If the infection does not go away within a day or so, you need to make an appointment so that we can treat it. Allergies and SinusIf you suffer from allergies or a sinus condition, that could cause pain. That is because it will settle when you stay in one place without moving for several hours. There could be a simple solution for this. Try sleeping on the other side or on your back. If you wake up in the middle of the night, change your position.Any pain that lasts for more than a couple of days needs to be checked out. Most of the time, there is a fairly simple reason why you have pain when you wake up, and there is also a solution. We want to make sure that there are no underlying issues that are more serious.
